What is Student Council?
Student Council is a service organization
that focuses on improving student life at school. The members
create a positive school environment working together with the
teachers and administrators to make changes and improvements.
Who can join?
ANYONE who can meet these standards:
· You must get 3 teacher
recommendations by September 11th
· Maintain a 1.5 GPA with
no more than one “ F “
· No suspensions
· Attend at least 50% of
the meetings each month.
· Participate in at least
6 student council service projects

What are my responsibilities to
Student Council?
· You must attend at least
50% of the meetings each month. The meetings will be held every
Monday at 11:30 in Room 137. There are no excused absences from
those meetings.
· You must participate
and document at least 6 service activities by the 3rd nine weeks.
These are to be done in and around school, not home related. Meetings
do not count as a recordable activity. Each student council service
project should consist of one hour activities or donation of goods
unless otherwise stated.
· Each member will be assigned
to a committee to help throughout the year.
