National Junior Honors Society

National Junior Honors Society members aspire to the five foundational values of  scholarship, leadership, citizenship, service and character.

Our busy activities include community service and leadership as Monster Mash volunteers and Secret Santas for 3 Covington Elementary 3rd grade classes. Our school service and leadership includes PJH Open House escorting, co-sponsoring the Sadie Hawkins dance, honoring faculty and staff for August, October, and December, and clearing up one Saturday in and around the PJH facility for a total of 76 man hours.

Further citizenship and character building happens as individual members contribute a minimum of 10 service hours (5 school and 5 community) on their own during the school year. Also, upholding the academic requirements of a 3.0 GPA, existing members welcome new members at an Induction Reception.

Other wonderful acitivites include: fostering scholarship, leadership, citizenship, service and character to provide fun and personal development for all of Pitcher's wonderful students.
