Pitcher Junior High held its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on May 2, 2012, showcasing our newly renovated school. The ceremony, emceed by Principal Rosylyn Hanson included a touching performance of the Star Spangled Banner by Farrah Daws, a biography of Superintendent William Pitcher by Tyson Blanks, and Pitcher Junior High's history written and read by Courtni Riviere and Katie Monette. Honored guests included Superintendent Trey Folse, Assistant Superintendent Cheryl Arabie, Pete Jabbia, William Brady, School Board members Charles Harrell and Michael Dirmann, Mayor Mike Cooper, and Chief of Police Richard Palmisano. Pitcher Junior High recognized Red Ribbon Week with elementary feeder schools Covington Elementary, Lyon Elementary, and Pine View Middle School. They were also joined by St. Peters School.

Pitcher Junior High's National Junior Honor Society visited the Forest Manor Nursing Home on Saturday, February 18, 2012. The students threw a Mardi Gras parade for the elderly residents.
